Fly Wheel ???
« on: April 03, 2007, 13:30:06 »
I have a 2002 TD5 with what sounds like a mouse stuck when it is on tickover but when you rev the engine it goes. When pulling away it clunks as you let the clutcj out ans squeaks for a few revs then stops. While accelerating it goes but when you take foot of gas it squeaks again.
Been told it is the dual mass fly wheel rubbers braking down.
Any ideas

I've hear of similar things so it's a possibilty.
Blue,  1988  Range Rover 3.5 EFi with plenty of toys bolted on
Chuggaboom, 1995 Range Rover Classic
1995 Range Rover Classic Vogue LSE with 5 big sticks of Blackpool rock under the bonnet.
