RR SPORT SUPERCHARGED
« on: November 04, 2006, 14:15:28 »
Down at Mr Gordon Finleys on friday, "gas conversion, main man", and on the ramp was a RR Sport V8 with supercharger, having a gas conversion.
Gordon asked me if i had any idea about the huge cast iron weights hanging of the rear of the chassis, basically about 15 kg of iron piviting on the chassis, one both sides right at the rear by the exhaust outlets.
I can only assume they are for vibration control?, as there a no sensors to them.
So anybody know the real reason, its dragging arount 30 Kg of swinging iron??????
85% OF ALL LAND ROVERS BUILT, ARE STILL ON THE ROAD,
THE OTHER 15% MADE IT HOME ;)

Maybe it's for extra traction.

Maybe it's just a bit of extra ballast to increase the fuel consumption to p1ss the anti's off even more !
The nice part of living in a small town is that when I don't know what I am doing, someone else does
