Been well and truely shafted

I thought i'd  done a deal with someone i now realise is not to be taken at face value.

I agreed to purchase his Discovery for £500. Unseen and after it had been forsale for sometime both here and else where.

I even arranged the use of a trailer to collect it.

Low and behold i return from a Mud-Club Halloween do to find he's sold it to someone else.

Makes me wonder if i've been Gazzumped

Bit pi##sed off to say the least.

"A Clear Conscience Is The Sign Of A Short Memory"

In which case this man has an extremely clear conscience cos he managed to forget he'd come to a verbal agreement over the phone on friday afternoon and then sold his car to somebody else the next day!!

It must have slipped his memory so damn quickly that he couldn't even remember the contact details he'd asked for, and received, so that he could have at least said "sorry mate, got another buyer i'd rather sell to. Nothing personal etc etc........"

I know i wouldn't want to do business with somebody who is that forgetful     :(

Those of you who agree will no doubt steer clear of this man.
Those of you that don't..................Not my problem

We all have the right to air our opinions and Ive just aired mine.
Feel free to do the same  :)

No Calling here

Have stated Facts and my opinion only. Sarcastic it may be but it's my opinion that an act like this is that of a person with a clear conscience.

It's also my opinion that people with a short memory are less likely to have a guilty conscience as they're not going to remember what to feel guilty about  #-o

The man in question is just as entitled to put his side of things across if he so chooses........That's if he can remember what this is all about

"A Clear Conscience Is The Sign Of A Short Memory"

I Really did not want to bring this disagreement to Mudclub as the DOC mods have already seen fit to remove it but ...your choice Hissy!

Andy called me on friday afternoon and we discussed the disco, he said he would not be able to collect until next weekend and i told him the same as i told the 3 other interested parties " whoever see the car, likes it and pays me first will drive it away"
Andy also requested some pics so i went and took some 30 after coming off the telephone on friday and duly emailed him (email still in my sent box 3.26pm Disco .zip 18.mb) in this mail i also asked Andy to call me later that day as he had mentioned he was busy over the weekend.
So....email and pics were sent as requested and i had no return call on Friday or Saturday, another buyer calls on saturday to arrange to come see and i fix a time, they come, they see, they buy,
So tell me where i went wrong?

Andy you have posted on 2 sites now that i shafted you and here you call me a Tosser?

Not very Gentlemanly?...well i have nothing to feel guilty about nor do i suffer from a short memory

OK, we have now heard both sides of the story and I think the party's involved should take this to a PM or Telephone discussion.

To that end I have locked this thread.
