speakers in rear pillar

I want to put some rear speakers into my 1991 200 disco. The only concern is whats the biggest speaker size I can have to fit into the rear pillar trim :?:

I would like to put some good ones in so they will have good sound and last. 8)
The difference between men and boys.....
Is the size of their toys.

rich,

i have fitted 6" speakers in the pillars,the only problem is they do not sit flush with the curve of the panel

I'VE GOT JVC 6x9's IN MINE.
A DODLE TO FIT AND SOUND GREAT (PUNCHY BASS!) HOWEVER THE BOOT SEATS SLIGHTLY BENT THE SPEAKER GRILLS ,BUT  ITS NOT REALLY A PROBLEM.
