when you say is it easy ? how do you mean? is it easy to make or is it easy to use? or are you confusing biodiesel with veg oil?

If you mean veggie oil any car can run on it but viscosity is the problem. You can either run a two tank system which swaps over to veggie when the engines heated or bung the oil in the tank and heat it before it enters the engine (disco has a lucas pump? if so not recomended)

any fuel is legal as long as you register with customs & excise, how much you record used though!? duty is about 27p i think

if you mean home made biodiesel i'd like to see what you've come up with. bio fuel can degrade rubber so replacing o-rings with steel is a good idea

I have been useing 50/50 Diesel -Veg oil in my tdi 90 for 5/6 months,
engine so much smoother -no other differances , except a lot cheeper
i use Tesco Rapespeed 40p a litre, just put oil in tank then go filling station
put equal ammount of Diesel in, the drive home mixes it -as simple as that, dont forget the HMCE form to pay your duty

should call myself veggie Dave the amount of times ive posted about this

here are a few websites to look at
http://www.dieselveg.com/conversion%20info.htm
http://www.veggievan.org/
http://www.iwemalpg.com/Diesel_LPG.htm
http://www.bio-power.co.uk/svoconference/
http://www.ravenfamily.org/andyg/vegoil.htm

the main prob putting me off is the confusion about the tax (27p or 47p) it makes a lot of difference to wether or not to convert

remember if you are paying 27pence and the HMCE say it should be 47  pence then they will want whats owing

I used to have a pug 205 gld and ran that on veg oil and diesel , 50/50 mix and sometimes a lot more veg than diesel and it makes no differance to the running , it used to be 27p a litre from aldi i think when i was using it but its gone up now , you can run on 100% veg but when its cold you just need to heat it a bit , how long will it be though till its £1 a litre for veg oil once the powers that be get there claws into it ?
of course when i used it i paid all my dues
Good luck with your outcome on whatever you do
I think i must be in touch with my femenine side as i can spend money like its going out of fashion :)
