Two inches here this morning, most melted by dinner time. I've just fixed my diff lock on the 101 so now hoping for some more  :)  Though I won't be driving down any hills with ice on 'em or I'll be entering an Olympic team for the bar skid run.

Well we're still getting snow showers and expect to until Saturday night/Sunday.  :D

Went down the to Harris Hills today, just for a drive, and went up a 3.5 mile track that leads up into the hills and finishes at an inland loch.

Car Parks on the side of the main road.

Climbing up the track into the hills with Loch Seaforth in the background.

These were about 2 1/2 foot long and were at the top of the climb!!

The top of the climb on the way back. The loch at the end of the track can be seen in the background.

The view on the way back down.

We were the first ones up the track since the snow started and it was hard to see where the track went in some places, even though the snow was only 3-4 inches deep, but all in all a good day.  :D

It started for us with a few flakes at about 15:40 & got a bit heavier

Images attached were taken at about 16:30.
By 16:50 practically all management had disappeared   (best thing for them)

By 21:00, it was freezing hard & Ambulance crews were complaining that screens were freezing up whilst in motion

At least it ought to keep the drunks away for my collegues on nights, as they'll get cold & go straight home

Barely enough to cover the ground, in fact last night when I looked out, the pavement on my side had none and the other side of the road had a sprinkle, my side has been in sun all day and the tarmac melted it, look funny though

It's snowed another 1 1/2  inches overnight.

It's getting to be boring now - I've got things to do.

For the first time in a week I can see some green patches showing through as the snow finally starts to melt.

Some of the mountain roads were treacherous today as they turned from rolled/compacted snow to slush.

It will be a distant memory in a day or two. I'm sure we'll be back to complaining that it does nothing but rain around here  .
