SU carbs are meant to be great on the 1.3 SJ ,much better than the standard one, but the carb on yours are meant to be bullet proof. Why would you want to change the carb if the fuel pump is at fault  :?:

with it being the 410 i don't know if they are the same i was only looking at changing the carb as it was suggested to me that it might assist with the fuel supply as that seems to be the problem, but i am open to any help i can get she just cuts out for no apperent trason and then runs great for ages then just dies again always ok nearly always starts back up again, when she gets warm the problem is worse and if with the wind behind me going down hill i get over 50 she is really unhappy and slowly grinds to a halt! tried all sorts but nothing seems to make any difference :?:  :?:

2 things to check if you haven't already

Fuel filter on the rear offside chassis rail.

Have you set your air filter switch to the winter setting because these carbs are prone to carb icing even if the weather seems mild.
