Just fitted Wizards 'Ultimate' breather kit :D
Apart from the fact that I opted not to use the timing case breather, fitting was an absolute breeze.
Some pics here:

BTW I chose to use the spare input/output (should have been for thetiming case) to run a second pipe up to the top of the snorkel
What an excellent bit of kit Wizard. CHEERS :D :D

Is that something different/extra to an extended breather kit then?
What's that "block" that the tubes connect to (in the engine bay)?
Did you have any breather pipes beforehand?

This is the kit:

Replaces existing breathers to axles and transmisson. That 'block' is a nicely machined manifold

I shall be fitting mine to the 110 just as soon as Cliff gives it to me

Wizards stuff is great.

Timing cover? I raised my transmission and axle breathers but didn't know there was a breather on the timing case, is it necessary or just belt and braces?

My question excactly :? You have to make a hole in injection pump inspection cover (on th Tdi) and attach a breather there. As there is no breather on a standard engine I'm not sure what the benefits are really.

It's a must do thing if you don't want water and muck getting on
your timing belt... You can just fit a wading plug to fill the hole.
-
Oh good, i've got wading plugs that i fit before offroading :)
-
I'm going to fit the timing case one when I get it!

 No, just what Wizard has labelled the kit for marketing as it contains everything you need to extend the existing breathers

I've got extended breather kits (still in their packets  ), but it didn't include the fancy "manifold" :(

Where did you get yours Gordon?

I bet he would sell the manifold seperately

I have been doing my timing belt today and i have got mud behind the timing belt cover  . Boy is it fun i think every one should do one  .

It is a nice piece of kit :D
You need small hands though to replace your gearbox/transfer box breather bolts

I see your timing case breather screws into the obvious place (the inspection hole). Where did you get the modified wade plug?
I have actually cheated a little with the gearbox and transfer box breathers for now as I didnt have time to fiddle around up there
-
With mantec's kit, you have to modify the inspection plate (the round plate with the three screws) which is mounted on the timing cover in front of the injector pump.
I can't remember if they supply a modified one, or just a boss you need to weld onto it...
IMHO, the wading plug hole is not the best place to fit the breather to, especially as you you not suppossed to leave these in all the time (or at least take them out regually)... the problem with having it at the bottom is that if your cam or crank seal starts to leak, it will start to fill the beather with oil, and if left long enough will start to fill you timing case.
Also, if fitting a breather to any other component you would want it as high as possible, not at the bottom.

Cliff I got it as part of a kit.
I may have a spare one so PM me with your address and if I find it I will pop it in the post
