Title: Stonefield 4x4 or 6x6 ? ? ?
Post by: Gary on May 23, 2005, 13:49:39
Hi there

This is my first post since joining this particular forum................

So please bare with me

A friend of mine has 2 Stonefield off road trucks, a 4x4 & a 6x6.

He is not too cool with pc's and so he has asked me to find out what I can about them.

I just thought I would ask to see if anybody knows anything about these rare beasts?

Kind Regards, Gary  :)

Hi Colin and Kev

Thanks for your replies.

I have been searching the net and found a few bits n' pieces..................
I'm hoping to find another Stonefield Enthusiast.

Oh BTW, my mates second Stonefield is a 6x4 Lazy Axal set-up, not a 6x6 as I put in the title of this post.

Thanx 4 the link Kev.     I had just found that one this morning. I have logged all the web links I have found so far ready for my mate, Jimmy to have a look at.

Anybody else with info, how ever small, will be gratefully received.

Kind Regards, Gary   :)

This is the brochure I have

Arnold G Wilson
Regent Street
Leeds

Which probably dates it to circa 1980?
Wilsons sold out (or changed the name) & became part of the Appleyards group - as in Ian Appleyard the famous 1950's rally/racing driver (Jaguar XK120)

Hey wingnut & Kev

that was on ebay the other month.

It's in quite a state

It would be good for spares but it's so far from where we are situated.................would cost a nice few quid to get back to kent.

thanx for all the info guys and a belated thanx to Bush Tucker man for all his posts.

kind regards, g
