If I could offer a fabricated steel/galv replacement floor pan complete for the SJ 410/413 either in kit or pre-welded...........at a realistic price.....would any body be interested ???
-
Depends on what the price is.
I wouild be more interested on panels to cover the rust on the wheel arches to be honest

There don't seem to be many solutions out there for our jeeps. Body shells seem to be a grand or more new - if you can get them. Body shell members are not available from main dealers in Scotland at least. This is my second SJ overhaul and most involved yet. Self fabrication seems the only fix......... I could be wrong you may have other avenues in Englandshire ??.
A little bird told me they still make SJ's in India under licence and by a different name .... Is that true ??
The wheel arches seem the easiest part to solve. given a MIG some steel and an open mind.

I've just e-mailed India MARUTI Suzuki GYPSY KING. Found the web site very interesting to see the Indian SJ. The sites quite good too.
I don't expect a reply but I'll keep you posted on any channel for hard to get spare parts.... Might send out for a Korma to go with my parts !!!
-
nice one, I didnt know the still built them anywhere :)
-
The soft top (with metallic paint!!!) is around 6000 GBP, around 500000 rupees....
Wonder what it would take to get one over here..... anyone know any Sherpas (and I dont mean the Leyland type!!!)
-
might be wrong, but it looks like they only do a long wheel based version......
-
My ill conceived idea to make a new floor pan is going very well by the way. The 1/2 " box tube frame is nearly finished then on to plateing. Your all going to want one some day..........Pics to follow.

keep up the good work knotty  pics look good by the way

I have just taken the body off my sj 410 { way too rotten } and started looking for a replacement.
Sent off for Blitz catalogue and prices for the 4x4 body is about £995+vat, thats a lot of money, also had a look at Scamp site, again a lot of dosh. So i will be fabricating a buggie style two seater cockpit type body for mine with pickup rear end all from 50x25x16g mild steel box section tube with ally chequer plate panels and MSA approved roll bar.
I have built numerous trikes/chops over the years {20 years welding fabricating } so should be a doddle really, and as i am not altering the chassis will not need SVA.
