I'm running a hybrid 90 V8 and I keep getting problems with the starter motor sticking. I have only just had this one re-conditioned and it dojng it again after only a few weeks. Although it did get held under in some well sticky mud for about 15 minutes at Whaddon today which brought the problem on again !!
Is there a way of sealing them or soemthing so I don't have to sit there clicking away trying to start the thing? :x

What i did, was i put some silicone around the mating surfaces of the starter motor and bellhousing and then put the wading plug in the bottom of the gear box... its worked fine for me

They can be a pain in the bum!!!
Try the silicone and also try giving it a squirt of WD40 after off roading.
You may have just been unlucky as I drown mine all the time with little problems. SOme just stick all the time, others are never a problem.
