Title: Just a quick word of warning (Adrian Flux)
Post by: bigfatsi on January 06, 2012, 14:37:15
Hi all,

Having just got off the phone with a debt recovery company, I'm a little peeved off to say the least!

Just a quick note of caution for those of you who insure through Adrian Flux. Please read their cancellation policy thoroughly before you renew or take out a policy!

I'm not bad mouthing AF as insurers. I've been with them for about 8 years and never had a problem. However, if you sell your vehicle as I did, and have to cancel, they will bite you right in the wobbly bits!

My insurance renewed on 5th October 2011 as it does automatically every year. Unfortunately, I decided to sell my 90 which went on 1st November. I cancelled the policy with AF within the next week or so - call it six weeks of cover. They said they wanted

its 40 notes if any changes are made to policy. we got charged 40 notes to change details on a policy even when this is a policy that being renewed and they hadn't even drawn up the paper work! Insurance companies are slimeballs, its the norm ... when I rule the world... insurance would be a non-free market and would be governed with strict fairness rules.

Half our cars are on private plates and the insurance was no more for that in particular.

Hi Guys.

I understand that there are commissions and charges levied on the broker that need paying. What I'm particularly unhappy about is that I've been told 4 different figures!

Latest update: Policy started 9th Oct, cancelled 11th Nov 2011. AF have had 2 payments equalling around

You could try these :_

Academy Insurance, 4x4 insurance experts.

Phone 0800 840 8910, 0800 316 6266

www.academyinsurance.co.uk/4x4

They are supposed to be good for modded motors etc, a few folk on another forum have had good deals with them.

Good luck.
