its a hi mileage 200tdi(200,00+)runs ok but smokes loads so needs a rebiuld or new engine. what i need to know do any of the oil addatives that are supposed to reduce smoke work. im not after some mirical cure but just help till i sort somthing perminant. cheers jo

I never tried it but i guess it depends where its is passing oil, could be the turbo, piston rings or valve stem seals
