Title: disco td5 cuts out at speed

i have a problem with my td5 disco.
Ive just replaced the fuel pump as it was faulty (swmbo broke down). now my disco will start OK but it will cut out at speed (over 40 mph) and it take ages to restart. it runs OK until i reach approx 40 mph.
could i have a problem with the injector washers? are they easy to do?

could possably be the crank sensor
does it just stop dead ?
or does it run down and stop ?
