hi guys as I'm finally getting around to putting the tdi in my old petrol 110 i know ive got some fiddling around to to as its not as straight forward as a td or na . my first main query is the stop solenoid on the diesel pump is it just a live wire that cuts off when you turn off the ignition. i apologise in advance as I'm probably going to ask a lot of questions with this project. also I'm using the disco gear box if i but the props on then relocate the mountings on the chassis will it interfear with the radiator as the bell housing is longer thanks for now ...lol jo

Yeap, stop solenoid is live when the ignition is on, so you can run the old coil wire to it.

If it is a disco Tdi take a close look at the turbo snail housing, circlip and wastegate actuator before you go chopping the inner wing to fit it in. I discovered that it is really easy to turn the housing round to a better angle and drill and tap new holes for the wastegate bracket. Itis a much neater solution than hacking the wheel arch apart and exposing the turbo to all the crud that comes from wheel arches.

thanks for the advice graham. i will either fabricate a down pipe or take the manifold off the dead 300tdi ive got ( although i wanted to keep it whole for now.

I am talking turbo air side, not exhaust. The Disco turbo air to intercooler pipe sticks out into the wing, if you turn the snailhousing round you can come up over the inner wing.
