Title: disco chassis
Post by: discosfa on April 08, 2010, 19:03:17
hi  :)
having found that my chassis has a few more holes than it should  :( i have 2 questions 1, is there any wiring in the chassis (in case when i come to weld it)
2,if i was to get another chassis how hard is it to change ie can the body be lifted off whole ( i have access to a telehandler)
forgot to say its a m reg 300 tdi

Roy, 'if' you decide you might want another chassis..... i have a 300tdi chassis, the front half of which is in very good condition... the rear has surface rust, i bought it with the intention of having it blasted and galved..... then changing it over on mine, however, i have just bought a 90, so the disco is going.... so is the chassis, i have the V5 for it, in my name, sorn........
£50 and you can take it away!
ps, its in dorset....LOL!!

in my experience the older the disco the better the chassis.

Funny that, I'm thinking the same.

Any RRC or Disco chassis will do but before 1991/2 they had a steel fuel tank which mounts differently.
