Title: NNN500250
Post by: yget on December 14, 2009, 08:23:57
:cry:I have a 2000 Disco TD5 and had to replace the ECU. The original patr number was MSB101184 the replacement that was shipped to me was NNN500250. I took the new unit to the mechanic and we installed it using T4 Diagnostics. However we are getting incorrect hardware detected. T4 states that the allowed parts are NNN000120 and NNN500020. What is confusing is that I have seen sites like Britcars stating the NNN500250 superceded NNN500020. I am a bit confused.  I do not want to buy another ECU as all the research that I have done indicates that NNN500250 is for TD5 non cooled EGR.  Anybody have any ideas????

yeah.....dont do that as the TD5 is a better engine!

as far as i know the ECUs are the same. you change the settings to suite your vehicle.
my dad had issues with his ECUs not for the problem that you have but there is a differance bewtween the two.

ill text him now and see if he can come on and maby explain whats happend as he is the one to talk to about them.
