Title: Heater advice
Post by: andygod on December 07, 2009, 09:01:27
I have a 1994 300tdi; the heater is the type with the bent feed pipes to the heater matrix. Will the heater from a td5 with the straight pipes be a straight swap for the original? Do the bolt holes in the bulkhead align etc? Any advice would be most welcome.

Ok- nobody seems to know, I've ordered a TD5 heater box etc from e-bay so I'll let you know.

Ok I've fitted my new heater and can confirm that a TDi 5 heater fits straight into a 300TDi without any problems. I paid £50.00 on ebay for a complete unit (heater matrix, fan, motor, Resistor unit, box) so this seems well worthwhile when you consider a new heater motor is approx £65.00.
