Hello all, I'm trying to arrange a courier for a engine,  does anybody know the weight of a rover v8? Thanks Dave.

Hiya mate - think it is about 140kgs, but sure if that includes the heads or not though.

I will also leave the exhaust manifolds on as per our conversation....

Try www.shiply.com - they put your job out to loads of couriers with excess capacity or returning empty etc so you can get a really good deal sometimes.

go into your local post office and cover it in bubble wrap and ask for 2nd class

teehee

i used parcelforce for anything bigger than the PO would take as they seemed reasonable enough at the time

 with parcelfarce it would cost about 300 quid! If I had to shift weight then I'd pop around to my local www.tuffnells.co.uk depot and have a word about best cash price on their P3 service (has to be a cash sale if you do not have an account). I have used them previously for a LR roof, 5 set of wheels n tyres, winch, 300tdi engine block.
