I got one with no template - my advice, lots and lots of measuring and start at the air box and work backwards - it's abit fiddly but it does work.
-
Did you manage to get the airbox too? Only I know that with mine (300TDI with ABS-type snorkel despite not having ABS) the airbox needed some modification. There was a plug to blank the original intake, a new intake to be siliconed and riveted on, and a spacer piece to be riveted to the front.
Also worth knowing: There are a couple of drain holes in the airbox. If you plan to go deep then these need to be filled with silicone, as otherwise they will let water in!

found my template whuilst looking for something else! pm me your address and I will post it to you.

I know someone who ran a 200TDI airbox on a 300TDI for exactly the same reason, it never seemed to cause him any trouble. Just make sure everything is properly secured and watertight.
-
cheers mate i will give it ago and see what happens personally i cant see if there will a problem
-

just remember what ever you spend on silicon, its still cheaper than a new engine!
-
im running a 200tdi snorkel on a 300tdi engine, so i had to change the airbox to a 200 :) use plenty of the sticky stuff and you need a piece of flexi pipe to go from the airbox to the turbo. ive been wading in deep water etc etc and everythings seems perfect :) :) :)so crack on with it matey ;) ;)

mudee
have u kept the air mass sensor or done away with that when i took the airbox off the 200 tdi engine i took the flexy pipe with it do just put straight to the turbo or keep the sensor
