I've now got a Disco rear end for my Defender, before i fit it I'm toying with fitting polybushes, anyone got any recommendations as to what make to go for, and whats the difference between the colours ? or is that just the makers colours ?
many thanks :)
Alan.

The colour is just what pigmant was added to the polyurethane during manufacture.
I strongly advise against cheap polyurethane bushes. Stick a cheap one next to either a Poly Bush or Super Pro and its easy to tell why one is around twice the price of the other.

i had polys on my comp truck ( genuine ones in dynamic orange ) and they didnt last 6 months, back to stock OME bush's now ond dont really get much trouble

A number of years ago I put genuine "Polybush" (http://www.polybush.co.uk/) blue polyurathane bushes in my Defender & they didn't even last a year. Over £70 a set.
I ended up replacing them with original rubber bushes for the MOT & have only had to replace the front radius arm bushes once, but at about £2 each, I'm not bothered if I have to do them every year. :)

By far the best bushes I've used are SuperPro...
3 year warranty (even if used off road), different hardnesses depending on it's location on the vehicle, fully tested on suspension rigs and on the road etc etc.
I'm also now a approved stockist - so can offer some forum discount.
From my experience - it really is a case of you pay for what you get!!!

Is one of the advantages of polybushes, that you can change them in the future without a press?

Thats the theory. I have had one pair of polyurethane bushes that ended up being removed by the press because the crush tube had stuck to the polyurethane. They wouldn't thump out with a hammer and punch. That shouldn't have happed, but those partciular bushes had several design/manufacturing flaws.
