Title: 200TDI DISCO,WONT REV,LOADS OF SMOKE,ANY IDEAS?????

HI, YESTERDAY AT WHADDON IT SPENT A SHORT TIME ON ITS SIDE,ALL OIL,FLUID LEVELS OK,WHEN IT WAS BACK ON ITS WHEELS...RAN OK FOR A FEW HOURS,WITH NO PROBS WHATSOVER,AT THE END OF THE DAY THE EXHAUST GOT RIPPED OFF AFTER THE FIRST BOX,,STILL SEEMED TO RUN OK...LEFT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR,WHILE WE TOOK MATES HOME TO MK,,,WHEN WE RETURNED,IT CHUCKED LOADS OF SMOKE  OUT,(AND SMELT A BIT LIKE PARAFIN),WOULDNT BARELY REV UP,RUNNING WELL ROUGH.ANY IDEAS WHAT MIGHT HAVE GONE WRONG,WHAT TO CHECK FOR OR REPLACE ,WELL APRECIATED...CHEERS DAVE..

has it knackered the turbo as that might be why you have little  :D revs and lots of smoke

First thing to check is the intercooler and associated pipes aren't blocked ?

Next thing to do is check to see if your CAPS LOCK has got stuck on.  :D ;)

i had similar prob and turned out to be the fuel pickup was split and sucking in air so check all your fuel lines but theres a quick check that someone told me. undo the bleed screw on the top of the fuel filter housing and start it then a small amount of fuel will squirt out and loads of air bubbles too if there a split somewhere
