Decided it was nice this morning so set about fitting 2 new rear shocks (one is leaking) and pair of H/D 'Sooty' arms to the back. All was going well, I had ensured that no bolts were seized a couple of weeks back and sprayed a little WD40 the other day to help things along. Having done the first shock with ease (a leaky damper soon looses the pressure and is easier to remove) I was busy removing the rear trailing link and had got as far as the chassis mounting bush (the triangle) when Julie came back from shopping. The distraction caused me to loose concentration and SMACK, I hit myself in the chops with my nice new socket wrench.
Swearing like a trooper and checking I still had my teeth Julie says "that'll need stitches". Too right, three of the b***ers.[/i]

just as i always thought women are dangerous to be around i think i will pay someone to fit mine i've had enough stitches this past year.
get well soon and don't let anybody else stitch you up
dazza you're winning team mate.

The stitches were ok, it's the b****y injection!
Once the local aneasthetic had kicked in he could have embroidered his name and I wouldn't have known it.

When i work on mine, i tend to do it where i know there will be no destractions. Then there are less people to blame. :D :D
P.S. Hope you ok. :(vamp): :(stoopid): :(bigcry):

Had a few bruises a knocks over the years, and now try to make sure that I push a spanner etc and not pull. If it slips then it goes away from you.

One time when I pushed a spanner I was undoing door top on O/S - spanner snapped and I gashed all my left cheek as I bounced of the heater controls on the dashboard  so if doing door tops get a mate to do it for you

You'll all be pleased to hear that on returning from hospikal I got back under the car and finished the job, then proceeded to do the other side as well. Not going to be beaten by a b****y car. I have taken to operating the larger spanners with my feet though, safely inside my bovver boots.
Oh, and aparently I've bruised my gum as well.
