the turbo has blown on my 200tdi defender if i take the turbo off and run with out it will it run ok

If run is the right word, it will be painfully slow.

I had the turbo pipe blow off ours (my fault :oops:) and it was painfully slow, almost to the p9oint of being dangerously underpowered.

It's going to be worse than a N/A deisel because it's made to be turbo'ed.

SO I'd say fine to drive it home but no more than that and I'd be very surprised if you made it into 5th gear at all.

I don't think it will damage it but once you have driven it I think you'll know what I mean about a dangerous lack of power, I had trouble joining roundabouts 8-[

do you want another turbo, i have one, its second hand and was working well when removed from  mine, it was removed because i thought i had gone so i brought a new one, as it turns out the new one made no differance it was the engine worn out as RR blue andy will confirm
