Title: K Seal usage
Post by: R2D2 on March 21, 2009, 21:33:00
Hi all,

Just got me a p38 4.0 se with gas conversion (prinz) multipoint installed by Landrover. It has 2 "typeVR" badges on the tailgate plus the word "Special" in the centre of tailgate. If that means anything to anyone.   It's a beaut.

Was wondering if I can add the K-Seal to prevent any overheat problems (should any be lurking round the corner)  8-[  8-[  or does it only work if it has an actual problem?

Cheers

Put it in! It can also be used as a "preventative".  :D

K-Seal can stay in there no problems, dilute it before you add it though and drop it into the pipework to the heater so it gets swilled through the system otherwise it sets in a lump in the header tank hose.

Cargo seal can only be added to pure water, it reacts with antifreeze.  Only use it if you have a leak but it will seal a visible hole, K-seal won't.

But bear in mind if you go to sell, thats the first place there going to look. And with the problems ive had with mine, personaly i would run a mile if i found k-seal in header tank.
