Just started here more like dandruff though!! :(
It's just the same here.
I've been out for a ride on the bike, & had it blowing about since before my 'turn-around' point at Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Bloody cold though, even with a t-shirt, long-sleeve training top, thermal jacket, thermal bib-tights, over-shoes, thick gloves & a 'skull-cap' under my helmet.
Just as I rode through the gate, it came down a bit heavier though - but still only like icing sugar being sprinkled.
-
stopped now its always the same look forward to getting out and having a play and it stops
-
blue skies here but flippin cold

-
Went to the workshop this morning. When I came out a few hours later it was all white! Just a sprinkling but it had frozen on the windscreen. Just occasional flurries since.
-
Just had a flurry here - white roads/windscreens etc, but nothing to cause any problems........yet

getting better (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg191/dreadnought110/DSC00602.jpg)
-
They're talking about 15cm in Surrey overnight. I hope so; it'll make work tomorrow more interesting if there's just 1500 kids (who all walk) plus the caretaker (who lives onsite) plus me (who has a Land Rover) :D
-
Got loads of show here but no bloody 4x4, now i just want to cry :'(
Just have to make do with a Zafira and my snow tyres. Who's going to be the first to pull me out of a hedge?
-
No snow here but it's very cold, could be on it's way
-
We've started to get some, hopefully it'll settle. I'm at work tonight, so I'll have to go out and see how the Plod BMW performs in the snow

RWD LSP, not good. I have just got a spanking new beat car, Focus and it was good to day in all the snow and muddy fields chasing hare coursers. Never seen such mud on a new car with less than 1000 miles on the clock!

Just an inch or so here now. Off to the airport shortly; no doubt everything will be at a total standstill...
-
Sky news just reported London city and Gatwick have closed runways for snow clearing.

-
I was finishing off my clutch change on driveway in the flurry of dandruff today, probably enough to fill an eggcup.
-
Just been for a walk up to the main road, and it's not clearing as it normally does through usage, not been gritted so like a skating rink under tyre tracks.
Considering whether to move me 2 Rangies off the bend outside me house 8-[ 8-[

just started in aberdare s.wales dont no how long for knowing my luck not long lol
-
Nothing in Coventry
-
i started of near hull this morning, and bit and bobs of snow, fixed my rear trailing arm bushes and drained the diff ready for a 100 mile drive home, then we got blizzards, had to get out to defrost the spot lights after each snow storm, mansfield had quite alot but buxton doesnt seem to have that much yet
perhaps just as well as ivea brocken universal joint to attend to in the morning 20 cm of snow might make that a little fun
kieran
-
like i thought its stopped in my area again lol
-
We had a bit late afternoon, I was out trying to remove the locking wheel nuts that are stuck on, so you can imagine I was pleased to see it
-
Got lots of snow here now, looks like I am walking to work in the morning, begs the question though, will any customers be able to get their cars in, so is there any point going.
-

SitRep from the Land of Shagg-Pyle
As I thought, Plod BMW's don't like the snow. RWD, with Auto gear box and ABS is a useless combination! So much for superior engineering from the Fatherland!
Our fun started at 04.00hrs, with a sweepstake as to when the first snow related RTA would come in. I guessed right with 6.15hrs, when a car slid down a hill into a tree. No, it wasn't me!
I've had to move my private cars from outside the house as we live on a corner. No sooner had they been moved, a complete cock comes round the corner and whacks into the kerb
Ask yourselves this question boys and girls. Is your journey really necessary? If not, take the day off and say the Police told you to stay at home ;) :police: I won't tell if you won't.
Enjoy Mother Nature's finest gift, but please be careful. I'm off to sleep now. Catch y'all later!

BOO HOO NOT A FRIKKIN FLAKE...................................

You sound like a frustrated Rock star :afro:

There are only two of us in the office thismorning, me and one other. I wouldnt mind but I live in cornwal and the office is in central london and I had no real problems (limited tube trains accepted).
No snow in Gloucester where I started from and ok till reading, then it gets a bit deep (wel about 2 ins)
-
There is 4" on the road outside my workshop (single track lane) and large grifts up against the walls.
-
Not exactly 'proper' snow, but we have some fluff.. And Earl still starts first time!

-
A reasonable sprinkling here - I've discovered that worn ATs do not give as much steering on snow as they did when new
-
Got a fair bit on top of the hill today, I think I'll stay in by my nice warm coal fired rayburn and hibernate
-
Had a great day. Made a snowman with my youngest kid, then took the YJ out and green laned it, Came home, put the dog in the Cherk, went back out and took her for a 5 mile walk acroos the fields through the snow, then played on the country roads in 2wd on the way home.
Smashing!
-
Hhmmmm RRC V8 on macho muds in 10 inches of sticky snow.......... nice!!

We had a couple pf inches this morning at 6am , half had gone by lunch but loads has come down since...
Just got back from the top of the Llanberis pass loads of snow up there (took the kids sledging ) ,, also watched as a lad in a 206 put his brakes on comming down the pass and bounced off the dry stone walls ... Stopped to help him remove the plastic inner arch and bend the body back out so he could continue on his way
-

He he he probably Jon!
To be fair we had a lucky escape today, on our way to a shout, not going fast just no traction at all!
My mate was driving gave me a fright!
-
Finally snow has come to Cardiff.... Praise the lord.
wizard
-
Bit this am then dumped it round Telford @ 5.30pm...thank goodness for big 4x4's...
That said watching our cat and next doors chasing snow flakes was excessively funny......
-
We had 1-2" but it's heavy rain now
-
Stopped snowing now got a good foot of snow in the garden. don't think there will be anymore.
-
Typical. We actually get the best snow we've had round here in years (about an inch at the most) and the RR's undriveable again - it's eating batteries like they're going out of fashion and I can't trust it to start. Been to work today in the Mondeo and the old girl didn't miss a beat, even though it was the first car in over 40 years that scared my dad in the snow :|
From what I've heard, it will all have gone by Wednesday when I'm off work, so I won't even be able to go out and throw snowballs for the dog :'( I did that a couple of years ago and she managed to find them
-
Went down one to container park a friend of a friend owns and did some doughnuts in the beemer!!! No traction control and an LSD, it was schweet.
-
A light covering today.
So as it was my day off i went out to find some nice snow on Dartmoor. And with some cunning managed to find a nice carpark and not a grockle in sight. :D
On the lane near my house.

Monte Carlo???
-
Had about 3" of snow when I left work last night and there was only 4" when I got in this morning. It snowed some more about lunch time and the total was about 6" in all. The wind picked up and it started to drift. Quiet really.
I had to push through this one. I jumped out afterwards and stood in the wheel rut and the snow was nearly by my trouser pocket.

snow didnt last very long here in norfolk :( but it was fun while it lasted got the disco side ways a couple of times on the farm right laff my boss said your a nutter and I had to agree
-
All gone now, mores the pity :( The stuff doesn't seem to want to stay around like it used to. I don't know what is wrong with this country. A couple of inches of snow and its classed as a disaster. Ridiculous!
Lets hope the forecast for more at the end of the week is correct.
-
Its still here, about 4 inches in the garden, but the sun is giving it a good hammering. They say there is more on its way.
Blast, forgot still do not have a 4x4 :'(
-
Just been out with the dog, and it's snowing quite heavily :D
Shame I have to drive up to Burnley today,
-
Well we have woken up to a winter wonderland.... the sky dish is now a football..... roughly about 18" to 20" worth....will get pics posted when I find the charger for the camera.... and a the scary bit is its still falling.... Now why didnt the estate buy me a snow plough for the tractor....

-
I have been driving through snow several inches deep and some drifts over 2 feet deep locally for a few days. Tomorrow I have to drive down to somewhere near Gilford for a 2 week job.
I'm watching TV and it looks like I should be worried as there could be a couple of inches   The Country has come to a halt again
I shall be starting at 5.00am with a caravan in tow.
-
the first snow fell yesterday {wednesday} but only alight covering here on the isle of Skye. Very jealous of you lot down south, good news is its snowing again now so maybe we'll catch up.
-
Just arrived at the office at Newark, and on the way in on the retail park, was a red 90 with snorkel, doing full circuits of the car park with a bloke on tow wearing ski's
-
we have about 3-4 inchs here good for playing in but bad for my pocket as no work
-
Had a few inches here this morning too....not very good when you need to work on the Landy...!!!! GOD it was cold...!!!!!
Mark

We got another couple of inches overnight -yay, guess who didn't have to go to work today anyway :afro:
The RR actually STARTED, having been on the charger for most of yesterday, so HWTHSBO took her down the motorway and back along the lanes to have a play. Guess who was sat at home with the kids (baby and dog)
At least I got to chuck a couple of snowballs for the dog this morning. Baby's too young to go out and build snowmen and the dog had weed in the snow anyway.
Some of the kids where I work have drawn a 50ft phallus in the snow in the quadrangle. Original or what.
-
We got more snow!!!!! Yeah
I love the snow and its coming down thick and fast.........
-
YEahhhhhhh im snowed in at last just tried getting out the end of the road here and cant lol wooohoooo road blocked with cars and lorrys lol can drive through them even with difflock hahahahah oooo i mean oopps oh damn
-
Weve had about 2 inches this monring in Birmingham but its stopped now
Whay oh why did it have to snow like this the week my Disco has blown up :'(
-
reminds me of the old jeep advert "if you can find it, you can drive it"
-
The sun has come out. Either that or there's a UFO about to hit Builth Wells.
Normally I'd be sad about this but I've done more than enough snow driving in the last week taking Powys Careline staff around as part of 4x4 Response Wales. If the garage jetwash could thaw out so I can clean last weekend's mud and a week of snowy gunge off the car I'd be even happier! :D
-
even got some down here in south devon

Went out last night in good Samaritan mode as all the townies from Plymouth were trying to get out to Dartmoor.
Spent 1/2 an hour out near the Ringmoor cottage turning, Directing a few cars about that were attempting to go down the hill towards Meavy.

sadly all gone down here in cornwall, came on very suddenly on monday, more on tuesday but rained all day thursday so none left.
Is it still snowy in Devon? Maybe I should make a trip up tomorrow to play, not sure I can justify spending the money on diesel though when it should be used for getting to work for the next few weeks!! Am Pretty p*ss poor right now till first pay day of my new job :-(

The diizzy heights of Dartmoor is still fairly snow bound.

Nothing down here in Camborne and I was away when it did snow. Was interesting for about 30 mins on the way home throuh Devon on wednesday as there was a few inches on the A30. Bloke in front of me was fdoing 25mph despire the road carrageway being clear of snow. So I had to go over to overtake on the snowy bit, but nothing silly. So then everyone else did expect the BMW that went sideways earlier.
Also I put the spade/wellies and hand winch in the back before I left.

Coming Down Heavy As I Type This
