Those crazy French still throw them into silly situations.

Have a look at the 'Rancho Grand-Raid' pages.
On page 3 they've tried to bury one, only front wheel drive & an extra low 1st gear as well.
Oh, & the Dangel 504's still look 'the biz'

Similar mechanics to the Talbot Alpine if i remember rightly,lovely gearbox :) ,apart from their faults they were quite sort after second hand but unfortunately they were soon clapped out.An early MPV?

i noticed the 1 thats burried on page 3 is fitted with sugar lump tyres(ken the 1s i mean that simmys are still sealing)

I remember a schoolfriend's dad had a Matra. We all thought it was very cool.
Does anybody else think the "groundbreaking" stepped roof of the Discovery owes a little to the Matra?

Yes they did.
And the real Ranchos had one on each wing
