Post by: stuartevans on October 25, 2008, 16:09:12
if any one could help that would be good.i ahave a disco 300 tdi.it will not rev over 2000 revs for some reason ive by passed the sediment bowl put a new fuel lift pump in bled all the air out the fuel system,by passed the fuel tank and the last thing ive done was to directly feed diesel into the fuel injection pump this seemed to do the trick the engine started first time and revved all the way round but as soon as i put every thing back to how it should be i still have the original problem.any help would be great as this is driving me mad

Did you mention a new fuel filter? otherwise I reckon you have a blocked hose in the engine bay, or possibly a blocked pick-up strainer in the tank.

fuel filter should cure it
if not, make sure your leak  off side to the fuel system isnt pressurising
