Hello,
Saw this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-GREEN_W0QQitemZ220282387797QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220282387797&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A7|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-GREEN_W0QQitemZ220282387797QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220282387797&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A7|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)
Looks like a roadless (a bit) thats been converted back to normal use.
Or is it just an old landy thats been chopped up a bit.
What do you reckon, interest only, not thinking of buying more projects
-
looks like they have tried to make it look like a lightweight
-
It's a shame to cut up an s11 like that, but it would be an easy fix. If it was only a few miles down the road then i would snap it up.
-
Thats not one of the Roadless traction jobs! They were 109 models and much higher. The cut to to wings was level with the top of the wing as well.
I'd say its been a trialer at some point of its life!
see here for more info on the Roadless Traction Forest Rovers

it could also have been an ex aussie army one as they had cut wings just like that
-
Just replace the outer wing skin and closing panel either side and it's back to normal.
Les.

a friend had the same sort of thing, but it was done properly, series3 and not a light weight.

i would agree with AndyMacG, it looks like one of the aussie motors. i think they did it because of there terrain, cut the wings this way it stops twigs etc from getting stuck in the arches and making a racket.
