any photo's

Only one I can think of in that area is the coolant gauge sender - brown plug between rocker cover and manifold.........
-
thaty is the one.
and im guessing i cant remove it
-
Ha Ha, not if you want a coolant gauge you cant, no.
-
very good, i will leave that alone then
-
If it's on top of the head then it's not the guage at all, it's the coolant sensor for the EGR system (ECU in the dash) but ifyou remove the plug you need to replace it with something
-
something like what?
-
A blank blug for example, IIRC it's a 'wet' sensor
-
range rover blues is right the coolant sensor for the guage is on the side of the thermostat housing , from memory theres only one wire going to it ...alan

Wrong again eh! :police: Never was good with this electrickery stuff!
The sender will no doubt have some wierd pitch thread so a normal bolt prolly wont fit and it doesnt look big enough to be catered for by the usual 'plumbing' supplies - best thing to do is take it out and get some thread gauges on it.........
