Title: Wot seats can I fit in middle row 110
Post by: Landyman on August 29, 2008, 17:39:29
Hi I want to fit something a bit more comfortable for the kids to sit on in the second row of seats in my 110 CSW.
I have been thinking of some of the high back reclining tracker seats. Has anyone else used these are they any good, easy to fit etc? or can any one suggest an alternative.
I did see a Landy with a Range rover classic rear seat fitted at Billing it looked OK but I'm not sure how easy it would be to do.
Any suggestions or pics of conversions greatly appreciated.

How many kids?
I've got Tracker high backs on the outers, but the centre is std. to stop it blocking the sightline, my youngest and Mrs are happy with them, eldest rides up front as he needs the legroom!

Hi 2 girls 12 and 14 the eldest is a bit short of leg room with the standard seats. We do regular trips to wales from cambridgeshire so I'm trying to make it as comfortable as possible.
Did you fit the reclining ones or just the fixed ones from Trakkers

The leg rooms not much different, mine fold forward like the std. seats, no chance of reclining as there's a 'kin great rollcage with cross beam and mesh load guard behind them!

I've got a similar problem!
Although my children are younger, & aren't too bothered about reclining, even on the longer trips.

Higher back seats are definately worth it.

Those are a bit more upright than mine, the cage is about 2-3 inches further back with the mesh on the back of that.

Hi
I've got a 1986 110 csw, took out the middle seats and put in 2  rigid type race seats in, also set them back as my 13 year old is 6'0!  Plenty of leg room now, if you want piks/details just let me know.

I have seen an article in one of the magazines ('LRO', I think), where someone fitted a pair of 90/110 front seats onto home made seat-boxes (that doubled as secure storage)

Thanks for the pics and info guys. I'm going to see how hard it is to put a classic range rover rear seat in first as I have one I can get my hands on. If thats no good I'll just buy the bolt in ones from Trakkers. They will have to make do with the leg room

That's because the guard is in the position for a 12 seat station wagon.
If you you put it in the 10 seat position, you gain a little gap behind the seats, & lose a little space in the "boot"! ;)
