Title: 200tdi cooling - bleeding and temp
Post by: markyb on June 26, 2008, 08:20:29
installed a new thermostate yesterday as i was adding a new veg oil heater .

my stat was stuck half open so now it reaches temp quickly now, which is good news as been running cold for sometime

I couldnt see any bleed points on the cooling system,   are there any?

second question temp guage sits at 2/3rds now which is fine. just wondered where everyone elses sits?

should say that was at 70mph on the clock this morning down the M4. i run an eletric fan which in traffic this morning will bring the temp down a tad, no smoke or bad running just thought maybe an airlock but ive done 60 miles so cant see there beinga  problem  but thought id check

yeah know the one you mean , the rad mounting isnt quite level so cant undo, might be able to slacken enough to bleed

i will seek a lower temp thermostat tomorrow , be nice to run 8 degrees cooler.  blah blah
