Title: P38 DSE loss of power
Post by: chris.hunt22 on June 19, 2008, 20:01:46
Hi all,

I am putting this post on for a mate over in the Isle of Man, he has a '99 DSE manual which has been fine since he bought it about 12 months ago, recently the car started smoking more than normal and was noticably sluggish, he changed all the filters and gave it a full service....still the same, he then sent the injectors off to be refurbed, theres were cleaned and checked, upon refitting the smoking had disapperared but the car still feels sluggish, he is a mechanic so has checked the obvious bits and bobs but cannot find a fault or reason for its loss of power, any ideas where to look??

Thanks in anticipation

Chris, ask your mate to check the turbo pipes, mine were replaced Jan 08  and had de-laminated, causing it not to rev. Also smoked a lot. Bazz. :scold: 8)
