defender bumpers fit on series 3's, and if not is there much modding to make em fit?

I know that Series bumpers fit onto Discovery chassis so i would say yes in answer to your question.

Ive got a 90/110 bumper on my 86" so they should fit on a 3.

Just remember, when your battery is flat you'll need the hole for the starting handle :)
