boring i know - but some of us 'macho offroading men' actually cook
been using these for a few years - bought 4 more today
i love them and have yet to have found a better balanced/sharp knife
your views?

Love 'em!
Hold a fantastic edge, well weighted and balanced. I've had mine for about 6-7 years now.
The only knife I have that I hold in higher esteem is a single ground, hand made vegatable knife with a magnolia handle I bought in Japan. Well, that and my Benchmade rescue hook!

I agree - some of the best knives around and hold a fantastic edge.
What do you chaps use to sharpen - steel or stone?

Some of these are pretty tasty too.... but painfully expensive. Some are £500 or more each!

very [!Expletive Deleted!] off
the three knives i bought off Ebay arrived this morning are FAKES
the add said they were the three knives of a set that the owner did not need - so it was not the usual 'con'
in fact i think the seller may not even know they were selling fakes?
they are very good copies but the 'dots' on the handle are painted with drips and the edges are short ground and very uneven
have emailed the seller and will see what happens
thankfully if things go tits up these days Paypal seems to side with the buyer - as i found out when i bought some duff Karcher gear!

If the seller genuinely didn't know, hopefully you can come to a mutual agreement. If they did know, eBay take a dim view of selling fake stuff. It happens a lot, so it's difficult for them to pick up on everything. But they would be interested to know.
Hope you get it sorted.

Diafold Diamond sharpening / honing stones (surprisingly, they're available in Machine Mart!). Not cheap, but they do hone to a very clean edge. I've got a diamond stick for serrated edges.

Just a thought, but the manufacturer may be "interested" to hear about fakes being sold on eBay; interested enough to nudge your seller into doing something about it, anyway. Some don't care less but some companies protect their trademarks very enthusiastically.

all resolved amicably - full refund received this morning
