Also an interesting bit at the bottom saying that after 6 days now a cheque is deemed to have cleared absolutely and thus the bank can no longer take the money back off you if the cheque was issued fraudulently!

Finally :)

Nothing about making bank transfers to Eurozone countries cheaper though...

I have to say that I find this all very interesting. It is not as if the banks are physically passing money from one place to another.
I had a big argument with my bank and solicitors when we moved, as I was told it would take two days to do it and would be subject to a handling charge.
I got mega crappy with them, saking why it took two days to press a button on a keyboard. Basically, it is all so they can get a few days interest on the cash and make a bit extra on my money. I pointed out that while the money was in the bank, it is technically mine, therefore the interest is mine, and if I didn't get it, it would technically be theft, and I would find someone to technically arrest for the the technical theft.
I got the interest back.
Thieving rob dogs! Hate banks, hate solicitors, hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehate
I hope that all their undergarments become infested with banker and solicitor hating genital crabs!

I think professional courtesy would stop that, same reason sharks don't bite solicitors
