Today, I fitted polybushes to the 90 :lol: . If I ever give the merest indication that I am likely to do this job again one day, kill me :cry: :cry: .
It wasn't the old bushes (have access to a press) but the polybushes. Press both ends in and then press in tube. Watch bush at one end forced out by tight fit of tube. Doing in a vice didn't help either :cry: .
Also nver do this job if it is pouring with rain and your drive doesn't drain very well :cry: .
Very soon you are sitting in a puddle covered in mud (wonder where all that mud came from :lol: )

Well done, thinking of doing the same on my 110. What's the advantage with polybushes, do they give a better ride, handling etc over the ordinary ones?

Suposedly they tighten up the handling because they are harder. They are dead polular on the classic Ford scene, and with the chav brigade in their hot shoeboxes.
The big advantage should be the ease of fitting, no press needed etc. I've done the Panhard rod on the Rangie and it was a POP once I'd burned out the old bushes and cut through the steel outer shell, you know how it goes. Now done I can swap the bushes as easily as an oil filter, and at £4 each end nearly as often. The Panhard rod bushes are famous for their short life BTW.
Was thinking of doing the rest of the car, thanks for warning me off. I'll wait 'till the weather improves (the bushes have been sat in a box for 9 months).

Let me know how it goes Guy though seems like a good idea with the panhard rod cos mine definately need doing.
