hi all. in need of advise and quick responce. will a vitara 16v cylinder head fit onto an 8v engine block and run with standard 8v pistons?

I suppose it depends if the pistons are the same size..

Are you going to change the whole top end i.e convert it to a 16v.
As I doubt the head will be a straight swap because it will have 16 valves, there might also be issue's with wiring / sensors and ECU's

thanks for the replies. i have a 16valve engine that the bottom end has died on past repair, and i have an 8v engine block and pistons going spare. so what i wanted to know was would the 16v head fit on the 8v block and go back in to the vehicle which is wired up for 16v injection?
