Title: fuel burning heater

hi been wundering just changed my o3 td4 serengetie (think ive spelt that right) for a 04 td4 hse :D not sure if its got fuel burning heater tho  :doh: its got heated seats an heated front windscreen but dont know where to look if its got one ov them can ne 1 help

Look under front nearside wing

it exhausts just in front of wheel

I thought all td4's had them?

Just prey it doesn't go wrong...... nearly £300 + VAT  :shock: Our garage broke a plastic pipe that connects to it.... this is only available as part of the heater  :roll: So they are making a pipe assembly!

They are not fitted to all TD4
I think a lot of the earlier ones had them fitted as standard.

do they have lorry heater type things in them now or something, and if so why?

It's a webasto fuel burning heater (like lorries) and they are triggered by temperature below 5 deg
Idea is it preheats the engine so it gets to working temp quicker and heater is warmer quicker
A kit is available to divert heat to the cab and you can also add a timer or remote control
So while you are having your brekky on a cold morning the car is warming itself up :D

great thanx like idea of a timer or remote  :D

dont like cost ov repair tho just hope it never goes wrong does make a wierd noise sumtimes tho hopefully its nothing

the noise is normal (ie they all make it  :) )
