Hi Guys moving to South Woodford up near Epping forest, can someone point me in the direction of the Essex Regional Meets. or anyone near by fancy meeting up soon.

Hi Colin,
We gave up with pub meets due to poor turnouts, instead we try to go laning once a month and end up in a pub. We have a run this Sat which unfortunately is booked up but you are welcome to meet us in the pub afterwards. It is The Vine in Great Bardfield.

Hi guys, Have now made the move to South Woodford, anything happening in the area?  would be great to finally get to use my new winch :shock: 

I'm free most weekends, except the next one  :roll:

 which OS maps should I get hold of as well.

Also can anyone recommend a garage near to E18 for routine work.

Welcome Colin, there should be a laning trip sometime in June keep your eye out in the greenlaning section

You would enjoy the Essex group as they are a great bunch of people, although one or two fail to understand my reason as stated below :(

I went only the once as a passenger but would prefer to take my own car but won't as I do not want it scratched on the laning trips :?

Just lifted my Hilux by 5" and added a set of 35's so as soon as I get my extended front prop back from dynoprop Im ready to go.......!

Hiya Mike,
Buddha, Piggy Steve and myself did try to start regular meets in the Braintree area but there wasn't then allot of interest. Piggy steve and Fish do try and sort out a trip out once a month or so that usually finishes in a pub.
I dont know if there is an official Essex Rep, I did ask before but didn't receive any answers. (but that was nearly two years ago)
Im sure once christmas and all the festivities have settled down the monthly greenlaning trips will continue.
If your in a real hurry to get your wheels muddy Im off to a punch challenge in Chichester, held by the Thames Valley 4x4 club on the 4th of jan  (theyve also posted on this club site in events I believe) why not come down and have a go. Phil Hunt is Co-driving for me but there are a load of my mates going down from Kent (4 or 5 Trucks) so there will be spare co-drivers if you need one.
Or of course Bures, not sure when that is...

i found some good byways but unfortunatly these have been shut off by local farmers

hi ya paul yes im up for meeting up. im in harlow and been waiting for someone to arrange something in or around essex /herts etc.
just picked up a bob tailed range today all set up for some action so would be good to try it out.

i will sort a trip out for Sunday if anyone interested, propose to meet at macdonalds carpark on the A120 at Braintree/Freeport at 10am, prob be a 3-4 hour thing around Essex, i've not been for a few months so will be flying by the seat of my pants lol.
I use OS mapping from memory map on a road angel 7000 adventurer in case anyone wants to see it working.
