I've got both a LWB and a SWB, and I use both of them for laning.  The LWB can do most things the SWB does, but does tend to catch the steps from time to time, and the rear overhang can be a pain sometimes.
Here's a vid of a few Paj's from when I went laning on Saturday.  Mine's the blue SWB

Agree with craig, you must have been very unlucky.

Generally the LWB are fine for laning,  few tweeks here and there and they are quite capable i've had mine for 4 years now and nothing more major than a water pump and general servicing.

Dad's had his off round the plains more than one time. Only time we've had trouble is a balljoint failed the MOT, fe hours to fix, and fuel pump seal gone (known fault on 2.8TD)

Yep what you say I agree with but.......

I really hate it when people buy a truck and it is a bad one (there are lots out there of all marques) and then slate every truck of the same type as mr vitara has in this thread.

So we won't slate your experiences if you don't slate our trucks - fair enough?
