Title: defender/ 90 roof
Post by: j.stobart on January 13, 2008, 01:23:10: Is the roof of a 90/ defender steel or ally? getting meself a cb mount thats all and would like a mag mount but if they aren't steel kinda goosed on that?

Post by: electricbluebadger on January 13, 2008, 09:55:41: your not goosed, just rivet on a steel square, loads have done it for aerials and magnetic recovery beacons......but to be honest a mag mount isnt entirelt successful when laning gets knocked off too easily,

Post by: tjolliffe on January 13, 2008, 11:04:00: Yea I wouldnt get a mag mount. Seen many of them get busted/fall off whilst off roading. Get a sprung one and bolt it onto a roof bar/rack (if you've got one), or if like me you dont mind drilling holes to much just mount it thru the roof :lol:, think the sprung ones are about Â£12 on fleabay, mines been given a hell of a battering and never broken :clap:
