Just wondering how much should i cut out of the rear end?
im still keeping it as a hatch and still want part of the rear window ohterwise i personally think it looks too short..
also i have seen it cut straight through the rear panel and also cut with a step in it..
Are there any advantages/dissadvantages to either way?
Many thanks

cut 440mm from mine and ithink it kept its shape the hard bit is stopping the roof having the broken back look i raised the roof about 18mm above the tailgate glass and put a tapered fillet in up to the join in the middle . i will now attempt to upload some pics dont be suprised if they are nowhere to be seen and i will have to go and find a 10 year old to do it stand by

2 repeats and 3 pics its a start tand by dont hold your breath

that looks awesome !
Shame the pics are so small.
What are the rear mudflaps off ?
-
Yeah that is what im looking for but maybe very slightly longer.
but hey you never know i may get carried away while cutting and then its too late ill have to stick with it then :)

mud flaps are cut down truck ones it looks abit different now ive lifted the body 38mm fitteda snorkrel fitted free wheel front hubs and welded the front diff up and knocked it about abit am in the process of making rock sliders

That looks well smart. IIRC the roof needs to be cut further ahead than the body if you want a tidy joint. The rear side panel cut at an angle is probably to allow a longer joint, someone not to confident about their welding :?
