Title: Bonding/sealant for rear quarters and alpines
Post by: africanpete on November 29, 2007, 16:41:56
Hi

I will be taking out my glass to tint the windows and would like to know what is the best sealant to use for re-installing them, this is on a 2003 D2.

Does anyone know what they use for wind screens because it looks like the same stuff.

Cheers
Pete

stikaflex...

messy stuff, but sticks like excrement to a blanket!

clear silicone is also adequate, although if your on the motorway a lot, i`d opt for stikamess, as it does do its job rather well! (remains tacky, thus can re-seal itself, whereas as silicone sets, and if knocked or stressed may become de-bonded, although its unlikely..))
