Post by: larry on November 15, 2007, 15:49:04
I have moved my front axel forward 2 " and added two 2" prop spacers and my 33"s no longer rub on the body and it looks better to and not to mention its nicer on the road easy mod highly recommended

No mods were required to the steering

How did you move your axle forward RUF have you got any pictures. Did you have to modify your steering at all.

When I coiled mine I moved the front forewards about 2 inches, it made for much better wheel travel into the arch.
Then I moved the back axle  backwards about 9 inches, and it rode like a limo on the road. (well, a limo compared to usual suzuki standards.....)
I believe the guys who move onto jeep leaf springs find the front axle has moved forewards a few inches.
If you get the prop extended instead of using spacers, you'll find it gives the joints an easier life, and then you can focus on getting more flex out of it.

I had Rascal rear springs on the front of my SJ, this also moves the axel forward
