Title: defender floor mats
Post by: Guardian. on November 08, 2007, 20:04:00
will the floor mat (the one piece job that goes over gearbox and both footwells) fit in a v8 lt85 gearbox, if its out of a 2000 odd defender.
not sure if they have the same transmision tunnels?
thanks.

Don't know for sure, my TD has a cut down (tunnel section removed) 300 TDi one as floor mats, stops the road spray OK on the passenger side (new footwell job to do) but traps water under on the drivers side where floor is OK...Workstation matting is best for grip and drainage! http://www.safetygrating.co.uk/matting/industrial.htm

 Whats a mat on the floor in a Defender ?

Mine has an LT85 and just has painted sorry some paint on the aluminium ! Think the tunnel is different for an LT85 cos it's a bigger box.

it "should" as the Lt85 santana uses the same tunnel as a 300tdi
