Can you fit defender hubs on to a classic? Im running a 1974 RR classic hybrid and have two complete hubs off a defender axle. I know the steering dampers are different between trucks but with the CV joint blown I was looking for the easy option

No.

the cv joints are different on various years, which may cause probs with half shafts.

i was gonna carry rangie cv joints & shafts as ive got a large supply of them for when im doin comps & luckily i checked b4 goin away 2 an event & there different so they wont fit

But have the entire hub. Half shaft, CV, stub axle etc. I just wanted to unbolt the entire hub assembly with half shaft etc and bolt on the defender one on both sides. I will be changing the caliper. Defiently wont fit? ? ? ?

if ur swapping everything, hub, chromeball, shaft,cv joint ETC it should fit no probs cos the axle cassings are the same, make sure the splines on the diff are the same as the replacement shafts

Thats the answer I wanted! Picked up a cheap defender front axle (with diff) so cant see there being any probs.
