Title: 300Tdi Immobilised!
Post by: rickharwood on October 10, 2007, 16:45:16
I have 1996 300Tdi defender that seems to have a faulty immobiliser. I am unable to turn off the immobiliser using either key fob. I have tried the code you enter using the ignition switch and drivers door procedure but am not sure it is correct as it also didn't work. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

In the short term very easy to hotwire...
(very easy to do)

In the longer term remove it completely

How easy is this to do?

I've had problems in the past with the standard alarm/immob system on my '96 300Tdi Defender. I had to solder some dry joints in the immobilisation spider and eventually bypassed it.
