I beg to differ ....

We bought 2 vehicles last March .. one was a Mitsi, one a black oval. One of them has had to have a lot of work done on the g/box and engine - and it WASN'T the black oval ....

Get an import, thats as new into this country as possible, get it undersealed, get it fully serviced(coolant especially) Theyre great! Ive got a Mk2 2.8 auto swb (an XR II  to give it its proper name) and I love it.

Make sure its secure tho, they do get nicked

Rolla

ps, try sitting at 70 on the motorway having a quiet chat with the passenger. Then try it in a 90.............I could fall asleep in the Paj, its so quiet and smooth.

hehehe..not ALL Land Rovers are 90's :) But I know what you mean .. I had a loan TD5 van ... at 70 we gave up talking .. and we had no idea what the stereo was for.

There is NO competition....A 90 for me forever...
But, for shopping, the odd lane on the way home, and a car for the MRS that I won't mind getting in, it could well be a Paj...
I hear you about the underseal, been looking at a few lately, and they all seem to be made of Weetabix !!!

Cheers for your comments...

Truth is, I want her have one, she wants a LARA Tomb Raider, but I want a MAAAHHOOOSSIVE GARAGE built, so the LTR is a smidge to much for now !!!

I've got a Landy and a Paj, and it's the best combo you can have.  But don't rule out a V6 as the economy figures are about the same, but they're much nicer to drive.  I've had 5 Pajeros and the last 2 have been petrol and there's no way I'd go back to a diesel.

remember the insurance cost more on a pajero than a shogun plus you are limited to where you can insure it.
if you get a new import you will have to have a thatchem approved immobilizer fitted to insure it.

ive got a 17 year old pajero 2.5 swb mk1 mix and ive had no serious probs with it plus it loves veg oil if you can find a 2.8 manual swb you will be laughing they are hard to find as they are wicked motors
