Title: 110 Steering Damper
Post by: sleepy straven on September 14, 2007, 11:38:55
Got a new old man EMU steering damper for the 110. Can I ask how tight should the nut be at the bush end of the damper. The more you tighten the more you squash the bushes but how far are you meant to take it?

Think there shoudl be two nuts, I tightened the first one just enough to put a tiny bit of pressure on the bush, then I tightened the first nut good and tight against the first nut.

There should be one nyloc nut i believe.
I do mine up so the bushes have just started to squash & feels tight.
Ensure there are at least 2 threads showing through the lock nut
